Our Story
Avantia began with a simple idea: become a family office for our clients. We believe families deserve more than investment management alone. They deserve one team that sees the whole picture and handles the details, so they can spend their time on the people and priorities that matter most. To make that possible, we built our firm around uncommonly qualified people, including CPAs, modern technology, and strong relationships with leading custodians and asset managers.
We opened our doors on May 4, 2020, in the middle of a global pandemic, when families were focused on the safety of their health and their assets. From the start, we chose a custodial platform that offered broad access to well-known money managers, strong cybersecurity, and a client-first culture. We then added a robust financial planning tool and modern portfolio reporting, giving each family a clear, consolidated view of their wealth.
Today, Avantia is an independent, Seattle-based firm serving business owners, executives, and multi-generational families across the Pacific Northwest. We offer wealth management, including robust strategic financial planning across one or several wealth managers, tax and wealth strategy, investment management, and access to a broad range of investment opportunities. We also offer family office services, including CPA-led bookkeeping, bill pay, and payroll. Families can engage us for either service or for both. Our strongest source of growth has been referrals from clients who trust us with their families, and we still begin every relationship the same way: by listening.
